In the January edition of the Zimrapcities magazine, Joe Chiz Jr promised us video releases in 2019 and it seems he has lived up to his promise.

Having been in the rap game since 2015 and with 2 albums, a good collection of singles and an award nomination to his label, it is quite obvious that one would ask why we had not seen any video from Joe Chiz Jr yet. And to answer that he said that he had been waiting for the right time to release the best. "It's not about releasing just a video," he said, "but releasing what is best, at the right time and can push your brand to the next level."

He went on to add that "Masuwo" video is an amazing production that will be received quite well by all circles of life and the director behind the visuals is an emerging director called Ebenezer Sango.

STYLART DROPS THE MUCH AWAITED SINGLE 'NO PROBLEM'
Stylart a.k.a Mr Majestic whose real name is Tinotenda Mhlanga, says he is yet to get started as he is still to make his debut on radio and TV besides making waves in the streets and on social media.
The 24 year old hip-hop artist was born in Harare and grew up in Bindura says his new single 'No Problem' is all about allowing ladies to enjoy time with their men without having problems with it.The song which already has a great reception also got some part and dance taste to it. It is his first of plenty of good music, we should expect to get from Mr Majestic this year.
Stylart started doing music as a young boy with his brother Kudakwashe Mhlanga (who is known as Mr Wilson in the hip-hop scenes) when they used to sing at church having been nurtured by their mother. Some years later they decided to take their music to the studio and made their first song 'Ndiwe Wega' which featured another brother again (DJ Dash) and they created the popular hip-hop brand 3 Mafia brothers. After an awesome reception to their debut song, the trio brothers later on released hits like 'Make Money', 'Pindirai' and 'Ndaikutrusta'. Other hits such as 'Zuva Riribhenen'ene' and 'Havasi kutiziva' which featured on Zim-Rap Cities audio editions back in 2014 which was driven by the one and only DJ Prometheus. All of the songs by 3Mafia were produced by Dj Aliview of Ghetto-Craft Entertainment.

3Mafia became a popular brand in the streets of Bindura because of the patriotism for hip-hop being the only hip-hop artists to do live performances at all dominated Zim-dancehall shows which include street shows (pasa pasa) and later performed twice at Red Fox in Harare during those years. The trio are now doing solo projects with Stylart having been featuring artists like Stiffa from Bulawayo on 'Wena Bhudas', Nashie (kuchibhorani hit maker) on 'Tinotamba tega' and Fadzie from Bindura on 'I will love you'. Stylart also released his solo mixtape titled 'Invocation' mid last year which was produced by Mad Linox of Danyard Records. He is now working on new singles with Fadzie, Kid Banks and the big one with Tatenda Whizzla.

On videos he is working on 'Dedication' and 'Say Nothing' which was shot by I-free and Mashonaland Central Artistic Hub.

Rap artist from GlenView 3 Harare
Nico C is a young rap artist who started his rap career at the age of 14. So far he has released a few tracks such as “Kana waenda”, “Destruction” and “Never go down”. He has only had one show at Budiriro 1 community hall. He has shared the stage with Tocky Vibes and performed at various openmicZim sessions.

Apart from his music life he is also passionate about young people and issues that have an impact on the lives of the youth. He works as a volunteer for a community based organisation.
He released a song titled “Never go down” this March and received major boost.

Now he is working on a remix with artists like Mai Mari, Tristty, Rapkiller, Rambow, T-Muz, Vardy, Tk-beats, AME. The remix is expected to be released this April and "it’s really something you don't want to miss".

My name is Prevail Christian Chigwada also known as Yung Nicky. I was born on 11 September 1999. I'm a femcee based in Chiweshe. I entered the hip-hop music industry last year 2018 with a track titled "Peacemaker" which l wrote thanking the Lord for what he has done for me. l have just submitted my track to Power FM Zimbabwe. The track was part of the Female Voice volume 1 album.

I really enjoy hip-hop music cause it makes me feel better. As a girl from a rural area l just wanna raise my community's flag high so that people will know that hip-hop is not only for those in the cities. I'm currently working on my other track titled "Rap queen". I'm promising fireworks this year 2019 . l hope and pray that people will love my music.

Frillex is a hip-hop artist born on 19 July 1999. He grew up in Mzilikazi in the city of Bulawayo. He started his musical career in the year 2014. He taught himself the rap skills and he writes songs on his own. He started recording in 2015 with his crewmates tracks such as “WOLF SHAKE”, “I AM BACK” just to mention a few. In Early 2018 he dropped a single entitled "UNLEASH THE BEAST” featuring RAVEN P which gave him recognition in the streets.
In December 2018 he dropped his first single track "VULINDLELA". Frillex is currently working on a mixtape "SCALING HEIGHTS”. He is currently a member of a duo "EPIC KINGS". Recently on the 8th of March 2k19, He dropped a single track entitled “NYARARA” where he collaborated with J.O produced by Nqoza under GRADE A MUSIC. The track has been appreciated well in the city of Bulawayo. He is also working on a video for the track "NYARARA". The video will be released in the 2nd quarter of the year 2K19. More hit songs are coming and collaborations.

Chegutu based rapper Top Kris, who is also an enteprenuer transformed himself from singing for three people at a street corner to a nation-recognised musician who has released a hit record called "Nyarara" featuring Caespidor, Decarpo Days, Big Moila and his producer Linxz, the rapper says it was an awesome experience collaborating with other artists and doing something he enjoys. “You know it’s funny how nothing can turn to something, as an artist we are always having ideas and when an idea comes to reality, the feeling is amazing. His lyrics speak about the hope we should have in Jesus Christ.

My name is Deflow Kayz. I'm a hip hop artist (Christian rapper). In the January 2019 issue l talkes about my previous work and promising great things in 2019. Well, today I'm here to repeat my words but in a different way because Zim Rap Cities is not a nation of promising things and end it just like that. I made promises and it's enough, it's now high time to fulfill the promises. I started 2019 in a good mood, l dropped a track called "Zvihombe" featuring Master Shifooh on 08 February. "Zvihombe" was part of the EP called "Renounce" which will be dropped in April, that track is a big record which is making noise all over the country especially on WhatsApp. My team and I sent "Zvihombe" to radio stations but we did not put it on all social media platforms because we wanted to see how people will receive the EP (RENOUNCE) since we have sent Zvihombe as a sample. A lot of people received "Zvihombe" the way we never thought it would be. On the 22nd of March 2019 l was so happy when l heard my friends and fans saying "Deflow Kayz we heard your song played on Power FM". I was encouraged by that and I'm confident that "Renounce" will be a big project to me. I'm glad to announce this, I'm going to drop my first EP this month. There are some amazing collaborations on the EP, just wait and see your surprise. Before dropping the EP, I have an amazing video which was produced and directed by Antipas Joseph. The video has some artists and actors who feature on it and it will out before the EP.
